Two Simple Power Recipes

Every week, I try to post at least one quick and simple recipe, typically something I just make up randomly. The recipes are easy, the ingredients are simple and will help you mix up your daily diet. Secretly, I just love using the Pic Stitch app on my iphone. LOL.

This week’s recipes include one smoothie recipe and a steel cut oat variation. Both are healthy, and pack protein and essential vitamins. Oats are a great pre-run meal, if you have some time before you’re running, and the smoothie is great for recovery.  Image may be NSFW.

This week was another week off from running. It’s not driving me as crazy as I thought it would. I’ve still fit in some great workouts and cross training which included some biking, jumping rope, strength training and more core work than I’m used to. (Yes, my abs are screaming).

I am looking forward to the weekend, who isn’t right? New television getting installed just in time to catch coverage of the NYC Marathon! Can’t wait. I get teary when they cross the bridge. What a sap.
